SHIFT AVAILABILITY

As part of your pre-employment process we require that you complete and agree to your availability on a week 1, week 2 rolling basis. This allows us to ensure that your shifts are allocated within your agreed availability and that we can ensure you achieve set days off in terms of rostering.

Please note that if you are offered employment with Kare Plus it will be on this basis that your availability meets with the needs of the business. This means that any requested changes to your availability may mean that we are unable to offer you work and that changes to your start or finish times may mean you cannot undertake your allocated runs as you previously did.

Requested changes to availability must be submitted in writing to the Care Manager with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice. Should we be unable to meet your request we will advise of this as priority.

WEEKEND WORK

We generally ask all staff to work a minimum of one out of two weekends, in order to make things fair for all staff and to ensure all carers have the option of a weekend off every fortnight. For full-time workers this generally means working both days on a weekend, whilst part-timers would normally be expected to pick up one Saturday or Sunday every fortnight. If you'd like to discuss this further then feel free to call us in the office on 01772 367656 and we'd be happy to try and come to an arrangement that would work for you.

AVAILABILITY DECLARATION

By signing this form, you confirm that you have read and understand how availability works and how shifts are allocated. You accept that any changes to this form are a request and that the business may not be able to accommodate either short notice requests for change or that the business may subsequently be unable to offer you further allocation of shifts due to requested changes.

CARE WORKER EXPERIENCE CHECKLIST

You do not necessarily require any previous experience to become a Kare Plus Homecare Assistant, as the role comes with full training and shadowing. However, we do need an accurate record of any experience you may have so that we know exactly how we'll need to support you. Please let us know if you have experience/training in any of the following areas (whether that's from a previous care job or from tasks you've caried out when caring for a family member).

Ticking "No Experience" on any or every section below will not impact your application in any way - we'll just use this information to ensure you're fully trained and supported once you're registered with our agency.
